[SLL] Firefox not throwing exceptions like my old Woody version of mozilla did...

I'm finding Firefox is not able to throw an exception with the old stuff I've got
a la page 264 of the Rhino book.  I just get nothing.  No reaction.  No popup.  

Anybody out there know about this or have any suggestions?  My hack to try this for 
now is http://www.eskimo.com/~xeno/catchex.html, in case anybody wants to see if
I'm just sleepwalking or something.  I tried the example of assigning null to self
too, but the present one in there is divide by zero.  Nothing.  Any suggestions
are appreciated.
