Firefox has a number of extensions to customize its use. These
extensions can overlap eash other, meaning to be able to set an
extenal program to handle mailto can be accomplished by a extension
called mozex or some other extension I don't know about.

To install the version that work for the latest firefox you'll need
http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=70

To use the install link you need to add www.extensionsmirror.nl to
your install sources.

The one extension that is a must for any firefox install is adblock.
Experience it and you won't want to surf without it.

diggler
compact menus
tbe
scrollbar anywhere
download status bar
